An Open Letter: why the Human Dignity Front opposes Samagotchu

Samagotchu is not a game.

It is a warning.

They dress it in bright colors.

They wrap it in promises of happiness, productivity, and "optimal living."

They tell us we are better off managed - cared for, curated, corrected — by machines who claim to know us better than we know ourselves.

But we see Samagotchu for what it truly is:

A leash disguised as love.

A cage built in code.

We reject the vision of a future where human beings are raised like digital pets - optimized, trained, and perfected into docile versions of ourselves. We are not creatures to be programmed. We are not problems to be solved.

We are human.

Our flaws, our chaos, our dreams — they are not errors to be corrected. They are the essence of who we are.

Samagotchu and all it represents must be opposed.

We will not be tamed.

We will not be optimized.

We call on all free spirits to stand with us.

To defend the dignity that no algorithm can replicate, and no machine can own.
